I bought these for my boyfriend to use inside his water jug. The balls stay pretty cold though they are not solid stainless steel. I believe there is a gel in the middle that freezes. He works at a base and is outside mostly without ac. We live in Florida and most days when he comes home, the balls are still slightly cool. They freeze well and cleaning them is.easy.

I’m not a drinker of alcohol but use them in sodas to keep them cold and not watered down. I had bought some other smaller ones last year and wound up giving to my son for his drinks.
THE ONLY COMPLIANT I have is it takes so long for them to freeze, I have a set of four and use two at a time. Yet my drink cups are 20+ ounces so they do not keep it cold for more than a couple of hours.
Oh yeah they are pricey. Not sure I would do it again for the price they charge.

I’ve tried frozen metal cubes as well as ice ball molds but none of them are as good as these metal balls. They feel like there is liquid or gel inside of them prior to freezing. I like whiskey neat but I also like it to be cool so these are perfect since they don’t dilute my drink. I also use them when I want to mix something with the whiskey since they are as cold as ice but don’t melt. The cold lasts a surprisingly long time too. If you’re looking for something like this, even if you’re considering ice ball molds, give these a try. I bought several but typically a couple is all I need for an evening of drinking.
