I bought these for my adult beverages instead of using ice to keep the original flavor of the drink instead of it getting watered down by ice cubes. They keep cold drinks cold longer, but if you’re looking to make a drink cold with these, look elsewhere. I mean maybe you could use them in a shaker and see if it makes it cold? They’re great for white wines and already cold cocktails!

Perfect solution to prevent watering down drinks. Also makes a great gift.

I have RA and our freezer doesn’t have an automatic ice maker so we’ve had to use ice trays. It’s getting harder and harder for me to twist the trays, and the cold doesn’t help with the pain. A friend mentioned giving these a try.
When I first got them, I was wicked excited by the pretty colors more that anything, lol. I washed them, left them out to dry, and put them in the freezer. Next time I went to fill up my stay cold water bottle a few hours later, I grabbed a handful and threw them in. When I took a drink I almost spit it everywhere because I was expecting cold water and got room temperature water. I realized these take longer to freeze than water in trays.
Once I had worked that out, I tried again. Water bottle, handful of FROZEN cubes, and the same thing happened. I was like wtf, until I thought about the physics. Plain ice cubes melt, disbursing the freshly defrosted water, cooling it down almost instantly. Since these don’t melt, it only cools the water that’s immediately surrounding it. I waited about 10 minutes, shook my water bottle well, and took a sip of cool refreshing water. They don’t seem to keep it quite as cold as ice cubes, but it’s cold enough to be a refreshing drink on a hot day. Plus the colors are fun.
I’m even Considering buying a second pack because I alternate between 2 water bottles (one water, one Gatorade) and I use 10 cubes in each, and there’s just no way for them to freeze fast enough. I did find that putting them in a metal tray helped freeze them faster, so I highly recommend that (I use a vintage ice tray, the kind with the lever).
All in all a great product. I kind of wish there was a bit more instruction included in the packaging so I didn’t have to work out the science myself, but it gave my brain a little workout, so I’m not *really* mad. It might help other users to include some instructions so they don’t have to go through the trial and error I did.
Update: while I still think these are a great product, they don’t really work as well as I wanted in my stay cold bottles. They just didn’t keep them as cool as ice cubes. I’m keeping them for mixed drinks and I don’t regret the purchase at all. I’ve also realized that if I leave those ice trays on the counter for about 30 seconds before twisting, the ice pops right out. There’s a life pro tip for anyone with accessibility issues.

Super nice! Keeps drinks cold without watering them down!

It doesn’t dilute your wine or other spirits. It’s perfect when you forgot to chill you beverage but don’t want ice melting in your drink. Makes it cold in seconds!

Love the size and shape, easy to use. Love drinking stuff that doesn’t get watered down

These are really cool in theory, but they don’t freeze at all. They just get cold, but not cold enough to make your drink also cold. I would return them, but the whole process is a pain so I’ll just donate them instead. I would not purchase or recommend.

This company stands behind their product. I was torn between choices, but these were a decent price for the quantity, color options & convenient storage canister.
I read the insert & followed instructions. Placed them in my freezer door. 24 hours later- they hadn’t fully frozen. The email for my purchase had instruction to follow up directly w/ the company- I obliged. And had a genuine response in less than 24 hours w/ apologies & the option to refund or replace the set w/ a brand new one to try- they are standing by their product. I agreed. The replacement set arrived 2 days ago.
Fast forward: same results. I even placed each container in separate areas of the freezer. One in the door & one in the far back. Each are taking approximately 2-3 days for all 30 cubes to FULLY freeze. What I have learned: placement in the container doesn’t matter. Cubes placed around the exterior edge don’t freeze any quicker than the ones buried in the middle. It takes about 72 hours total for the entire 30 cubes to freeze. Roughly 1/3 every 24 hours.
BUT, re-freezing seems to happen more quickly. I noticed the 12 I used & stuck back in had frozen within the same say, just hours later. So I feel like that is the trick: wait a few days, use them & re-freeze for a quicker, more consistent result.
With that backstory- I am pleased with these, overall. I am finding that the initial freeze takes longest, they do need to run through that first “test cycle”, then re-freezing & using gives a proper result. The price is on point for 30 cubes w/ a storage canister (plus fun colors to choose), the frozen cubes remain solid for longer than 1 hour (even using the “iced” setting on my Keurig spitting hot water to make iced tea), there is absolutely 0 taste/aftertaste, & these are extremely easy to clean!
The quality seems to be solid, as there are no cracks, leaks or evidence of structural compromise. Mild antibacterial soap & water are perfectly good to clean them. They aren’t collecting residue or being stained from darker drink colors. I think you really get your money’s worth with these if you have the patience to wait & do an initial test freeze.
Most admirable- the customer service & care to stand behind their product is what stands out. I would much rather give my business to an entity like this that welcomes resolution & constructive criticism. These are really easy & quality, I’m glad I opted to try. Plus, from a scientific point of view: the reason they take longer to freeze & thaw is due to quality material. It is apparent you aren’t getting cheap, flimsy material- much appreciated! Sometimes the good things take patience, and the result is equally rewarding.

After giving up on ice machens and still wanting to keep my drinks cold and not diluted i stumbled on these little smart and completely easy individual ice cubes…a great discovery. they come filled with pure water. All you have to do is put them in the freezer for a little bit and use them as u need. no mess no cleaning
just ice cold drinks. I highly recommend for gifts as well.
two thumbs up –
I keep these in an ice bag in my freezer for injuries etc. They work great.

I froze these solid and used them in large glasses and in mugs. In every case I found that while they made the drink COOL they did not make it as COLD as if I had used ice – the glasses barely sweated on the outside. I assume that water is used inside the cubes instead of gel – which is the ultimate in safety – but that means the internal frozen temperature does not get as low as is needed to make something really cold. Sorry, but they do not do the job I hoped them to do. That said, it was a good idea, but it needs work. Cool is not cold.
