I’ve have using these for a few years now. Great for hot summer nites. Helps with sore muscles too. They don’t puncture, well they could but so far not one. Use to use the pillows you fill with water, I woke up many nights drenched because seam popped.

Ok so I didn’t buy this for pain like everyone else, though it will be great for future pain relief if needed. I bought it due to the sudden heat wave and I don’t regulate heat very well. So when I’m over heating, I grab this from my freezer and normally just rest my feet on it or put it underneath a blanket and lay on it. It’s amazing and stays cold for quite a long time. It also arrived very quickly and I received an email from the seller just to make sure everything was ok. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I live in Texas and I have hot flashes. You get the picture. Sometimes, even with the a/c going, I get so hot. I’ve tried every pillow that says it keeps your head cool, but they don’t. This works great!! I can put it in my pillowcase with a hand towel on top (so it’s not too cold at first) and it works great!!! It’s flexible, but it will make your pillow a bit stiffer, but I don’t see any way around that. It is pretty thin and stays cold a long time. Even with my hot head on it. If I wake up during the night and it’s not cold enough, I can take the hand towel out and then it’s cold or cool again (depending on how long I slept before waking up). I have also used this in my car. I have a bad back, so I can put this behind me between me and the back of the seat. It not only helps my back, it helps keep me cool in this Texas heat also. I keep a cooler in the car, and just put it in there when I go in somewhere, then I can pull it back out and that way it stays cold quite a while. This is a very helpful product for me. I highly recommend it.

I love the ‘kold’ bag. It’s like having your typical bag of peas but colder. It’s ready to use in an hour and I found that, as I it out of the freezer, I leave it on the table for a minute and then apply it, as it moulds better to the contour of your body. I used it to treat a flare up of bursitis and it has made such a difference! I just laid on the sofa to watch telly with this bag on my hip for about 10 minutes to work its magic. The cold is pretty intense for a long time. I’m very happy with it.😊

I had shoulder replacement and knee replacement surgeries. These gel packs made life so much easier for my wife who was my caretaker during recovery. They lay flat which makes them easy to store in freezer. Even after frozen they are easy to bend and mold around both shoulder and knee which is great for hitting sits where pain is strongest. We purchased two so that one was always ready to go. They do freeze up quickly. If you know someone going in for a joint replacement surgery these make good gifts. I have purchased one for two different friends and they both purchased additional ones. Highly recommend you purchase prior to joint replacement surgery. Ice will be your best friend, especially for knee replacement you will love this purchase especially after physical therapy!

I borrowed a larger version of these from a friend. I decided to order a set for myself. This company takes the sealing a step further compared to the national pharmacy brand version I use too. The edges are heat pressed then a border is stitched on to make sure it stays sealed. I noticed the gel inside stays more flexible compared to the pharmacy brand ones I have. So instead of having to let it sit out of the freezer I can use it straight away. So far these are a good buy and a decent value.

After my Mum’s knee replacement we were using a pillowcase with lots of little cool bag ice packs in it to soothe her leg. These are not ideal as the move in the case! A search on here brought up lots of these products, I read a lot of reviews and plumped for this one with same day delivery. Put it straight in the freezer and did not use it until the next morning it was still flexible and our freezer normally freezes everything solid! We popped it in a pillowcase and wrapped it over her knee and it works great! It has been in and out the freezer all day and still flexible, glad we went for this one. Looks really good quality too.

A little on the expensive size for the oversized gel pack, but it is VERY effective. I had recent hip surgery and it stays very cold, even at the 30 minute mark it’s still very, very cold. It is quite heavy but still malleable, so it has been great for wrapping around front to back to get all areas of my hip. The gel doesn’t migrate much during use, and it folds into half twice very easily which makes it simple to store in my smallish freezer.
My reason for giving this product four stars is the amount of condensation that collects on the exterior of the gel pack. I’ve had many gel packs over the years and I’ve never seen anything quite like it….after 30 minutes of being out of the freezer it is literally dripping; completely and utterly soaked! I even let it come to room temperature and dry completely after use and then refroze, and it was still drenched during the next use. The current humidity in my house is 43%, which is pretty comfortable and far from humid, so it can’t really be attributed to the humidity in the room. You must use a towel or something because your clothing/furniture (whatever it comes in contact with) WILL be drenched. It’s so effective otherwise that that is a pretty minor trade off for me, but I had to be very careful when I still had bandages on my surgical wounds as I was not allowed to get the bandages wet at all, so something to be aware of. Had it not been for another reviewer who had pointed out the condensation issue I definitely would have gotten my bandages wet, which my surgeon wouldn’t have been thrilled about ;). So thank you random amazon reviewer!!
