I really like the flexikold grl pads. I have a number in different sizes and they have been fantastic for cooling us down during the really hot summer days and nights they don’t take long to freeze and stay flexible. This size has cloth on one side and the pad the other. Good for wrapping around a sprain, helping to ease the pain and can be strapped in place. The pad does heat up but I just drop it for another. Good for helping us to sleep as we use them on top of a pillow to cool our heads. Once they heat up (having drawn heat from the body) we drop it over for another. More gel than other pads and this helps them stay cooler for longer.

As a product, the design, the fit, the Velcro straps etc are all great. It’s easy to put on, take off, comfortable to wear, moulds to almost anything. But.., It just doesn’t get cold enough so a) the icing effect is less (than many other ice packs I have or have owned in the past, or more importantly the icing effect is less than ice!), and b) it warms up really fast…!
Mine might be faulty? I’m not sure, but I ended up sticking some duct tape on my old ones to seal the puncture holes up and have continued to use them instead… which are great actually.

Bought these for my husband to use following knee replacement. They work really well and stay cold for some time. Easy to use with the elastic , Velcro straps. I keep one in the freezer so it’s always ready for use. They are flexible enough to mould round the joint even when cold and the straps make it easy to move around whilst he has it over the knee. Definitely would recommend.

I was looking for a cool pack of appropriate size and shape for the treatment of shin splints and the occasional bout of ankle pain after running. This is perfect. I’ve lower leg dimensions which I say are average for an adult male but this would still work well for both smaller and larger persons. The strap system works particularly well to hold it in place, to the extent that it is possible to wear it and still walk around without concern for it dropping off (the pad that is, not the leg).
I wish I’d purchased this some time ago. The only thing which I think might be improved is the temperature – the ‘cold’ side is very, very cold if applied for any length of time, whilst the flock-coated ‘warm’ side is just a bit too warm to feel as if it having therapeutic effect.
