This product works well. I tried to sit it on my kitchen counter top but it was too noisy for me. I put it in the laundry room so I cannot hear it running.

My return window is closed and the thing stopped working. Just over a month. Waste of money. Says add water even when it’s full. Gone thru all trouble shooting nothing works. Buyer beware!!

Ordered this after returning an off brand ice maker that quit working on day 4. So far this one is doing a great job. It’s small, holds approx 1/2 gallon of water in the reservoir. The basket at full capacity has enough ice for 2 red solo cups. It makes ice quickly. Takes 30-40 mins to refill the basket with ice.

I love it, however I had to repurchase as the first one that came was dirty and scratched up and very clearly used. Got a new one and it was clean still some scratches I assume from factory but I am happy with the ice!

I bought this one because a friend had one similar, branded differently, but I thought it was the same one. It is! Let it sit if it’s been turned over moved, around in shipping etc and fire it up. Started making cubes as quickly as I expected. Remember….it’s not a freezer so remove the cubes as soon as the tray is getting full or sooner if you want them to keep. Don’t worry if you don’t though, they will just keep recycling until you use them. I’m very happy with this maker!

First things first. It says not to flip upside down. It’s like a freezer, there’s freon and other magical technology that requires a level surface. I let it sit a few hours before I plugged it in.

By the hand of Odin, I have ice! Thank the gods of frost and water. I just had acl surgery on my knee and it’s perfect for regular ice to fill my cryo cuff. It’s not that fast so you’ll need to give it a couple hours of ice making.

Going to the fill line with water makes about two trays full of ice. You’ll have to empty the tray and put the ice into a bowl and put it in your freezer. Do that twice and theirs enough ice to fill the cryo cuff. No more ice cube trays yaay!

Some reviews say large cubes get stuck. But I’ve had no problem. Large is the way to go but it takes longer to make, obviously.

Large fan on the right side duspels hot air, it’s a machine, it creates heat, duh. Make sure there’s a good pathway to let it vent.

I’ve been running this thing pretty steady in the morning and in the evenings to stock my ice up. Hopefully it can handle the constant use!

It arrived fast and with zero damage to packaging.
Followed the start up instructions, then filled with RO water and turned it on and it started up as it should have.
It was making ice in no time, the ice at first was not perfect but after running all night the ice was perfect in the morning.
BUT, this is sure is a noisy unit when it is running, not just fan noisy but it makes a almost screeching sound when it is going through its paces to make the ice,,
We will give it another day or so and see if still this noisy as it is way to loud for us.

It is now no longer making ice and when it does try it is super noisy, we are returning it,, just a defective unit IMO as Fridgedaire is a great name in appliances.

Makes nice little ice ‘bullets’. The bucket is not refrigerated so remember to move the finished ice to a real freezer. Works a charm for my needs.

I use bottled water for it. It’s fast but not enough for this family! We eat ice all day so I’m constantly buying water. The ice is chewable (large setting). I find that the smaller setting makes the ice too thin that when I chew sometimes it hurts my gums. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the basket is too small so we have to empty it many times throughout the day and if we’re not home, we’ll you only get the one basket of ice it made. But the machine itself hasn’t given me any issues.

I keep it on the counter beside my refrigerator. I pull it out and sideways when I use it so it can breathe.
I know it’s wet ice so I put each batch in a large freezer bag and lay it flat in the freezer. When the next batch is done I take the bag out of the freezer and hit the bag against the doorway of my pantry to break up the ice, then I poor it in my ice bend that’s leftover over from my broken built-in ice maker.
If you just dump the wet ice into the ice bend it all freezes together and it’s just a mess. This way I can still get the ice from the refrigerator door and have crushed ice if I want it. I like this ice better because it’s smaller and softer.
I continue the process until my ice bend is full.
I drain any remaining water, dry out the machine and leave the lid open a few hour so it will dry out even more…to prevent mildew and stale tasting ice.
There are three people in the household plus visitors and I make ice once every three weeks.
I’ve been using it for six months with no problems.
It’s fast, quite, efficient and not bad to look at. I love it and wouldn’t even go back to my original factory ice maker. I use the filtered water from my refrigerator and I’ve never had a problem with the taste or the machine.

The ice tends to melt somewhat in the basket once made, which makes them freeze together. You have to transfer to regular freezer and still clumps. Otherwise, a great ice maker.
