These reviews are from people who don’t know how to properly read. Each complaint is stating that they are not stackable. The listing states that the compact trays aren’t stackable and that the stackable trays cost more in a 4 pack. When you select them it even says stackable or compact, if your expecting stackable trays then make sure your selecting them rather than the default compact trays.
Now on to the review, the compact trays work great and release just fine. They aren’t stackable which isn’t an issue for me. They feel like they will last a few months to years of continuous use.
The stackable trays stack via alternative sides of the tray. If they are all facing the same way they stack into each other for storage, but if you alternate the stack by rotating every other one they stack just fine with liquid. Unfortunately the stackable trays feel cheep and probably will be very brittle with just a few uses so I can’t recommend them.

Ice trays are ice trays right? However, these do not stack together, no matter which way you turn them. You have to put them side by side in the freezer. It’s a pain.

Reading through the reviews…all you have to do is rotate them in the other direction and they stack perfectly! Rotate them back and they nest for storage. 👍🏻
