So it took me one time to get it right and like others have said, pay attention to the limit line on the tray or you can create a bit of a mess with ice breaking everywhere. Now that I’ve done it a few more times, I just need to twist the trays slightly and the balls pop out. Some need an extra push, but they pop out. I was surprised at how many ice balls I get and they last me a few days. Awesome buy and the ice balls look so cute in a clear glass!

Bought these tray for my bar at home. They are wonderful! It did take a couple of tries to fill the tray enough to have whole ice cube/balls, but once you got the hang of it, it’s really easy to use. Also the ice cubes are a great size to fit all of by bar glasses, like Collins or a bourbon glass. Plus the bin is convenient to save space in the freezer, and to store more ice cubes/balls if want to make multiple trays of them.

So I see reviews here complaining about some circles not being complete or whatever else that’s minor. To be honest, this is such a cute way of making ice. It doesn’t bother me at all that a few of them didn’t come out a perfect sphere. Especially when you put them in the drink you can’t even tell lol. These are super awesome aesthetically and it’s just for fun! I needed an ice tray and thought these were creative and fun. They work just fine! 😊 You just gotta find the sweet spot of how much water to put to get your nice spheres. Also, keep in mind these are plastic, not suppose to be perfect; it can be the user as to why they come out not so great.

For some reason, I was expecting the trays to be silicone. I had searched for silicone ice trays, and didn’t read the description closely enough on this item. Because the trays are no made of silicone, it is just as hard to remove the ice from these trays as it is to remove ice from a standard cube ice tray, if not harder.
As others have mentioned, it is not easy to fill. I used a measuring cup to fill each tray with exactly 300ml. There seems to be no way to avoid overflow, and you can’t just flip it over to drain the excess water on top, because otherwise you risk also draining some of the water in the tray, and ending up with half circles. I also don’t end up with clear, smooth round ice spheres. They still have a seam, no matter how close I get to a perfect fill amount.
While this product works, it’s not my favorite, and could use some improvement. (See attached pictures of an underfilled tray with partial spheres, an overfilled tray top, and 3 trays worth of ice in the large bucket.)

Took no time at all for these to freeze up for use. I love that they’re small enough to put in a handheld blender and the fact it’s a shape that in general is friendly for all types of drinkwear. While it’s advertised for cocktails it’s even great for using in preworkout or just for keeping your drink cool. Even find my boyfriend’s niece and nephew love making them and using them. 🙂 the household actually all commented on them and thought they were cool so that was definitely a surprise since I thought I was the only one haha! The only thing is that removing them is kind of a pain. It’s not hard at all but I have to whack the trays sometimes upside down to get the little suckers out. BUT! A trick I saw in another comment was to let some cool water run on the trays and you’ll hear them “crackle” and loosen up to help the removal process.

I needed these because my ice maker died and I am possibly replacing the whole refrigerator/freezer soon so I am not getting the ice maker fixed.
I love the shape of the round ice balls and the quantity from the 3 trays is impressive. I can make enough ice to last me several days from freezing about 3 batches (using all 3 trays) per day.
My biggest complaint is filling the trays. I finally figured out that it takes about 10-1/2 ounce of water for each tray. Otherwise when you press them together you will get a fountain of water spraying from each of the air holes in the top tray. Also if you use too much water you will not have a way to dump it out and you will have ice forming on the tops of the trays. Not a big deal but worth noting.
One tip when it comes to freezing the trays. If you stack them on top of each other the bottom tray will take longer to freeze. If you try to freeze the trays in the plastic container they become insulated and take longer to freeze as well. If you have room in your freezer try to place the trays in a single layer and all of the trays will freeze quickly.
I use the plastic tray mainly for emptying the ice balls out once they are frozen. I store the ice in a ziplock bag to prevent them from absorbing odors and off taste from the other foods in the freezer.

I bought a new fridge with small freezer off Amazon. I saw these ice cube trays and thought they looked okay and with lids. I don’t know about anyone else but I spill water by the time it’s got to the freezer they are half full. These are brilliant, easy to get out I bend lightly and a little tap and they fall out perfectly. The box could be smaller if I was being picky, but you don’t have to use it. The ice cube is brilliant. I should of purchased this years ago rather than using the ice cube bags. It’s so easier and only takes seconds to fill stack them in the freezer and tap out in the box. I like the extra touch of the tongs, and you can use the set for smoothie, baby food, flavoured ice etc. I would highly recommend 10/10. I like the colour and because they stack it saves space and were helping the environment if you’re still using the ice cube bags bin them and buy these. No more waste and you get more than 8 ice cubes, great for party’s, bbq’s, etc

Saw these and read all about them. So I decided to try and see if they really lived up to the reviews. I put the water in as recommended by measuring and then just put in about 2/3 full. Both ways turned out really great.! Nice round ice balls. They went way beyond my expectations. I do recommend …. based on prior reviews … to put a towel over the top cover. Water can spurt out the top small holes when putting on the top cover. And it is rather fun having round ice balls.

The plastic from the mould flakes off and contaminates the ice, you get little flakes of it floating in your drink. I washed it before use and thought that maybe I didn’t do it thoroughly enough, but washed again using a soft brush making sure I got all the”dimples” but the problem didn’t go away. I don’t think this is made from a suitable material.
