I love this tray. I use it all the time. That said, there was a learning curve on filling it and getting it snapped tight. Tips are: make sure the tray isn’t too wet to start out, snap the four buttons firmly first, then snap around the edges of the each cube, making sure you feel or hear a little snap into place connecting the edges of the cube top to bottom (this is an important step and it’s the one that makes it work), fill slowly. Set level in the freezer. Make a little flat spot for it. Now that I’ve patiently learned how, it makes perfect round cubes for me.

It came with a little funnel to fill which was basically useless. I found an oven baster works perfect. Doesn’t fit together well enough to make a really round ice ball. There’s always a ridge around the middle.

So, the ice spheres are smaller than I expected. I know they very clearly say their size I guess I just breezed over it. I attached a picture of the sphere versus a tavolo 6 tray of ice blocks. Basically these are a good size for 1 pour, if you want 2 pours you’ll need to replace the sphere with a new one or get bigger spheres/cubes.
I rated it 3 stars not because of the size but because I cant seem to get the individual spheres to freeze without Saturn rings. No big deal really, it’s just not what is shown in the pictures. I snap the four posts and the outer lip I just can’t seem to get those inner lips to seal the spheres.
For the price, I wouldn’t buy these again, I’d buy maybe the 2 pack of individual spheres by tavolo.
The build quality appears to be good, and the fact that you can make 9 whisky spheres in about 8 hours is great for building a stock quickly for hosting a New Years Eve party or any type of gathering that will have spirits.

Our refrigerator makes the round golfball ice cubes, but they are not made fast enough to accommodate a family of 5 grown ups. I love these and they make wonderful golf ball ice cubes. This is the only set I have seen where you can make 9 at one time!!! I highly recommend! They arrived well packaged, and faster then I expected!
