I purchased this item and have tucked it away for a Christmas stocking for 2022 so I am unable to give my opinion on the ‘easy to clean’ and ‘flavor’ areas (hence the overall score of a 4). I will say shipping was super speedy and after carefully unwrapping the package, the item is exactly as shown. I was able to rewrap the package as the wrapping paper is so darn cute and perfect for the whiskey stones. Fingers crossed my husband will think these whiskey stones are perfect.

Bit of a novelty which we thought was a good idea. Put them in the freezer for about 3 hours and they are ready to use. However it did not make the drinks as cold as ordinary ice cubes so we went back to proper ice cubes after trying the stones for about a week. Sorry to say just not for us.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is it only seems to keep cold 30 min or so even after being in the freezer all day (he uses about 6-8 at a time per drink). Bonus: you can also use these in white wine, or any other drink you don’t want ice to melt in.

Not a fan of these whiskey rocks at all. They do nothing by way of chilling your beverage. If you are usually a fan of ice in your drinks, stick to ice. Also noticed, used a few of these in a glass of white wine one evening and by the time I got to the end of the glass, there was grit/dirt coming of the rocks….the rocks had been used a few times previously and had been thoroughly cleaned…it was almost like the acidic wine was disolving the stone

These stones are a great idea for someone who likes their whiskey straight. I like mine with coke and the stones do not keep a glass of whiskey and coke cold. I even put all 12 in and it just made the glass heavy and turned it into a workout. I’m going to stick to my Death Star ice balls. I’m giving these stones to my friend who hates that I “ruin” my whiskey with coke!

These work to keep a cold beverage cold longer, but they do not work to make a room temp beverage cold. I used 6 cubes to 1 oz of room temp whiskey, and it dropped a couple of degrees but not enough to chill it. However they do work to keep already chilled beverages cold longer without diluting them, and they are a fun touch with a good whiskey. Very giftable and easy to care for…rinse and freeze!

Though we have not tested them in neat whiskey or gin, we don’t believe they work in a G&T. As you can see from the picture the drink with 2 medium sized ice cubes (on right) was considerably cooler than the one with 6 of these stones (various qtys tried previously) on the left.

Bought these for personal use but would be equally good if not better as a gift. While many sets only give you 9 stones, whith this bad boy you get and extra 3 (12 in total), much better if you are splitting the whiskey 4 ways. I have bought a couple of budget sets of stones and this is definitely the best so far. I’m sure you could get better at a higher price point, but at £7.50 you will struggle to beat them.
The stones are very good quality and a decent size, they effectively chilled my tipple and did not transfer any taste. The included hessian bag is great for freezer storage.
As a gift this set would be great! It comes in a nice presentation box and mine was also gift wrapped with a ribbon attached. Overall great value all round.
