These ice paks are really useful. I looked at smaller versions and am glad that these were available. My husband has lower back and leg pain and these are perfect. Unlike the ice bag he was using, he can slip these under his clothing without any leakage or movement. They freeze quickly and cover a substantial mass of his skin. The Velcro pack to hold them works very well and the cold lasts a long time. These appear to be very well made and I expect them to last a long time. Very impressive!

I have used this only as an ice pack. Very handy, had small tear in rotary cuff in right shoulder and of course I am right handed which makes it difficult to wrap my upper arm. Because strip is velcro was able to wrap the strap around several times and just put my hand through and pull it up to the right spot with my left hand. Wish I had this sooner.

I bought this for foot surgery treatment . The flexibility of the ice pack was exactly what I needed to put around my foot. Strap holds it in place. Freezing lasts about 30 minutes which is sufficient time to get the benefit of icing. Two pack is perfect because the other pack goes in the freezer and just swaps into the sleeve when the first one thaws.

I recently tweaked my knee and was limping around for a few weeks (hard-headed!) before I finally went to the orthopedist. Received a cortisone injection and was instructed to apply ice a few times a day, 20 minutes on/20 minutes off. The Rester’s Choice was the perfect product. I keep both packs in the freezer and pull one out as needed. The pocket and strap are easy to use and comfortable. Each cold pack stays cold for a long time for each application. I thought I would have to alternate using the packs for each application but that hasn’t been necessary.

I am quite happy with the two ice packs. It’s nice that they don’t seem to get so frozen that they cant be bent or squished. I use mine on my knee, and I am always able to bend the ice pack around the contour of my knee. The only down side is that they have a bit of an odour that only now after a few weeks seems to be dissipating.

I put this in the microwave for 45 secs as 30 secs seemed not hot enough. I ended up getting a skin burn on my back as a result of only using this for merely 10 minutes. I have never in my life, gotten a skin burn from using a different brand; and it was microwaved just the same. This is being returned as it is not a safe product at all. I am not sure why amazon is even marketing this as a best buy. This can literally burn you or freeze your skin while you are alive. Seriously. Think about it when you read this because it has happened to me.

The level of cold is what I wish other ice packs would have. It freezes quickly. I have chronic migraines and Rheumatoid arthritis and ice packs have been something I rely on quite a bit, I love that I can strap these on and keep going. They stay cold longer than most other I’ve packs I use like the “rice bag” or “gel pack” and seem to be pretty durable as well.

I have sciatica and these are amazing for flare ups! They are nice and long so they provide great heat, the cover has nice breathability and the strap makes sure your heat stays in place. You can also remove it from the sleeve and use the gel pack where ever you need! I’ve only ever used hot but it’s nice that you can freeze it too!

I futzed around with several schemes for the (seemingly obvious, but oddly enough not well addressed among cold packs available on Amazon site) common need to cool one’s neck in response to muscle aches and cramping. The cheap “cold packs” are garbage to use, and are designed to leak internal fluids early on. Not a one of them is worth a dime. Stay away ! Then I bought a (at the time relatively more expensive) Sports Lab brand neck brace with a small (and far too insubstantial in volume and cooling effect) cold pack. Not well thought out at all (it chokes a man’s adam’s-apple badly when one tries to adjust for better thermal coupling). Thankfully, they fully refunded my costs after I reported all of the ways that it sucked.
This pair of cold packs could hardly be improved upon. The balance between physical size, cooling capacity, and flexibility when using them is really excellent ! They are capable of delivering a powerful (but not physically dangerous) wallop of cold to one’s skin quickly. If the internal volume of the cooling medium was higher (which would extend their time period of their usability, which overall is not bad as cold packs go), then they would not be as flexible (which is important when thermally coupling to various body parts). The adjustable mounting-strap assembly is also well designed, and works very well. The fact that these cold packs come as a pair allows one to rotate them between use and cooling in one’s freezer. They are built with reasonably thick and tough as well as comfortable on one’s skin (non-leaking) outer material. These cold packs are by far the best that I have ever found, they (in my opinion) represent a brilliant balance of design parameters.
The business owner who produces them is passionate and dedicated about product quality and customer satisfaction (as one can see from reading the message insert that comes with product). Have not contacted them (no need to), and have had zero problems in around one year of frequent use. These cold packs with strap assembly are worth every penny. Please note: I have received no compensation at all for this review.

I have plantar fasciitis, and that requires me to ice my heel two or three times a day. This gel pack works perfectly. It is not large enough to turn long ways so that it will ice the entire bottom of my foot, but I really only need to ice my heel. And it works for that perfectly. When I put the gel pack into the provided sock and wrap the strap around my foot, it stays nice and snug up on my heel but doesn’t cut off circulation. Doc says I’m not supposed to ice for more than 20 minutes at a time, and this gel lasts just about that long. It is pretty much perfect.
