Squares work perfect. Balls? Nope. The mold constantly leaks so you end up with a big mess, and the balls tend to capture air pockets. So you never really have a sphere, but more or less just a large roundish piece of ice

So obviously the large sphere is the one I am reviewing. I did get a double tray of the smaller ones, and my family loves them all. The small ones are easy to do. Sadly, that is not the case for the large ones. I will usually have to fill them twice. The first time I fill them, they leak from the sides of the mold. The small ones have a much better system of loading the water into the trays, then you just press the tip tray down onto it over the sink and a little water shoots up from the small holes in the top. This product is not the same though. You fill them up, and you can fell the water leaking out as you are trying to fill the tray, so I have found it easier to fill them up as much as I can and freeze them, then go back over the holes in the top of each silicone sphere and fill it up again. It’s a pain in the butt, but my family likes them…so I do it for now. The other pack that comes with this is the 6 large square cubes. They are easy to make, but my husband will use those, but my boys only want the circle ice now, and my oldest prefers the large spheres in this review…so I keep making them the hard way. But if they can figure out an easy way for the small spheres, there has to be an easier way to make the larger ones like the small ones, but I didn’t see it on Amazon, and this one had a good rating, so I went with this one. I think the high rating came from the large square cubes though, because I saw a lot of people talking about those. Anyway, until they make an easier way to make the large spheres, this is the best I’m gonna get I guess. Hope this review helps someone!!

I bought this for the round one. It’s awesome that you get two trays at roughly the same price as one. The ice balls will have a seam and a nipple but not a big deal once it’s in a drink and melts a little. The ice balls are easier to remove than the ice cubes. Running it under hot water briefly helps loosen it up and don’t fill up the cube tray all the way to make it easier.
The large size and less surface area of the ball is supposed to melt slower and not water down your drink as much. Not really that noticeable to me. I just like the convenience of dealing with one cube instead of popping out several little ones. Downside is they take longer to freeze and the balls are a little more fiddly to fill up. They’re two inches but you won’t be able to fit the cube in a two inch diameter cup.

The media could not be loaded.
Mein paket kam eben an, habe es ausgepackt, gewaschen und wollte die formen direkt befüllen. Die würfelform sieht spweit super aus und hält ihre form.
Die Kugelform ließ sich einfach nicht befüllen, das Silikon dichtet nicht ab und löst sich immer wieder so ab, dass das Wasser an der Seite rausläuft. Ich kann die form ständig andrücken aber sie löst sich immer wieder los. Nach etlichen versuchen hat es 1 mal gehalten. Habe die form dann auf den Tisch gestellt um platz im Kühlfach zu machen, hebe es an und das ganze Wasser ist auf dem Tisch und tropft den Boden runter….
Im video hatte ich die form wie gesagt befüllt bekommen, aber nach kurzer zeit hatte es sich doch wieder gelöst. Nur noch der untere teil hatte wasser drin.

Ich mach’s kurz… – die Kugeln sind ganz ok, Gärten bissel größer sein dürfen aber gut! Lassen sich auch gut aus der Form lösen wenn man vorher heißer Wasser drüber laufen lässt – das gleiche gilt auch für die Würfel allerdings find ich’s doof dass da kein Deckel drauf is , da ich die Hälfte erst mal verschütte bis ich die Schublade vorm Eisfach zu hab 😂💪🏼🌈

Nach zwei Wochen ist das Kunststoffteil beim lösen der Eiskugeln in zwei Teile gebrochen. Sehr enttäuschend. Von mir gibt es ganz klar keine Kaufempfehlung. Dazu kommt, daß Produkt ist nicht für den Amazon Support qualifiziert.
Kauft leiber ein anderes Produkt oder behandelt dieses wie ein rohes Ei.

I bought this for the ice balls, but they are hard to fill because you can’t see the water line. Sometimes the funnel seals tight and then the water doesn’t even go in.
It was a bonus that it came with the square ones, which work pretty well in a Yeti bottle (1 or 2 cubes).
I put spring water in these to not taint my water.

Eiskugelbehälter nur zur besseren Entleerung auf die flache Hand geklopft,damit die Eiskugeln besser aus der Form fallen oder sich lockern ,aber das Plastikteil ist einfach mal so in zwei Teile gebrochen weil das Plastic durch die Kälte keinen Bock mehr hatte und nur weil es KEINE PROPLEME mit den Eckigen Eiswürfeln in der Silikonform gab habe ich den Unterirdischen Mist nicht gleich wieder eingepackt und dahin geschickt wo man das NICHT KANN
