These are the best ice trays that I’ve used. Fill normal, freeze well and absolutely crack and empty wonderfully. These are the ones you want.

I am of the generation of metal ice cube trays – yikes and have tried silicone, dollar store trays, expensive trays and none – absolutely none – work as well as these rubbermaid ones. No violent twisting required. No pushing, running under water, and no sliding into one another when they’re filled! They stack any which way, make a sizeable cube and come out with a very slight touch. I’m buying more!

I had just recently bought a new fridge which came with those tiny squares good for 2 drinks. I had bought 4 different types before settling on these ones. I was looking for a stack able tray with a good design so when you fill the trays the water runs through small channels on the top of each cube and not onto the floor like the first 3 different stack able trays I had bought, all cheap Chinese crap with NO design or functionally effective design, just a cheap price, garbage, which when thrown out is exactly what they became GARBAGE, please buy these they work.

Having read reviews before buying this, I didn’t really expect something as simple as an ice tray to make as big of a difference in my life as this one has. My old ice trays made it so difficult to get the ice out and often, some ice bits would stay stuck to the tray and the ice would break in many pieces. With this one though, you barely have to move or twist the tray and the cubes slide right out. It’s definitely more flexible and made of a different plastic than my other trays but it works exceptionally well. I would absolutely recommend this product.

I don’t like automatic ice makers because they always clump the frozen cubes in a block. So these fit in the ice maker section and the make a nice size cube and so far they are popping out easily. I also like that they are white.

I much appreciated peoples comments about these not being as deep as the originals. However, the ice cubes come out that much more easily even though the ice cubes are not as deep. I was replacing three much beloved trays that made the larger cubes. One of them had cracked and none of them were releasing the ice cubes without shattering them when I twisted each tray. After I bought the new ones, I realized I was at fault. Upon closer examination of the original trays, I could feel and even see white deposits of minerals from the tap water I use to make ice. The cracked one is going in the trash, but the other two are salvageable by cleaning them carefully with something acid like white vinegar. Filling them with white vinegar for a period of time (I’m not sure how long, check the internet) should remove the deposits from the plastic. I don’t think the white vinegar will scar the plastic, but I don’t know.
Bottom line: I bought 6 of the shallower trays to replace the three (4 of the smaller ones would replace 3 of the larger ones), only because they are packaged in threes. I now have plenty of ice. I’ll probably cut back to 4 after the summer.
They stack well, travel well from sink to freezer, and give up their cubes with no effort at all. You can just look at the tray and the ice will LEAP into your glass! Well, maybe I’m exaggerating just a smidge.

Absolutely great ice trays.
I am in my 60s and I have never found an ice tray that I did not, very often, have to fight with to get out the ice cubes. No more twisting and twisting ice trays, banging on the counter upside down/right side up, trying to dig out with a butter knife, all that just to manage to get 2 or 3 cubes out, then doing it again when I want more.
I have tried many kinds n my life, from Dollar Store buys to pretty expensive purchases, but these Rubbermaid trays are by far the best. A little twist once and all the ice cubes are free and remain free for the next times I want more ice from the same tray. I personally like cold drinks (water, mineral water, fruit drinks, soft drinks) so use a lot of ice, and not to mention how easy it is to get ice when I have guests over. No embarrassment of fighting with the ice trays while the guests are waiting.
I never thought I would get so giddy about a simple plastic item, but I am.
I give this product a very solid 10, or 5+ stars.

I didn’t really believe all the “amazing” reviews for these trays, but I was so sick and tired of trying to find trays that actually made cubes that slid out easily, I figured I would give these a shot. Believe the hype – these are BY FAR the best ice cube trays we’ve ever had. Cubes don’t “crack” and stick inside the pockets, and 1 tiny little twist of the tray and all the cubes just slide right out. Great purchase.

These are the nicest ice cube trays I’ve ever used. They twist super easy, the ice pops right out. They are super fast and easy to use.

This Rubbermaid ice cube tray is the best ice tray I have ever had. It is just like the description states. It releases the ice with just a flick of the wrist. The ice practically falls out when you turn it over to dump it in the ice bucket. It requires a minimal twist to get the remaining ice to fall out of the tray.
Trays on the bottom require a little more effort to get it to release their ice but not much. I always try to swap out the trays when refilling with water. I try to make sure that the bottom trays are put on top after each use to help with the stress of the trays when twisting.
The Rubbermaid ice trays stack on top of each other with no problem. You can turn the tray in any direction and they will still stack on top of each other. You no longer have to worry if you have turned the tray the right way.
I highly recommend the Rubbermaid ice trays. I love the Rubbermaid ice trays and I will definitely be buying more of these in the future. If it was possible I would give the Rubbermaid ice trays more than five stars as they definitely deserve a higher rating.

Perfect for quick easy ice cube making. I like to have extra cube when I go shopping during the hot summer. The trays are light and stack well.
