I had arthroscopic knee surgery for a torn meniscus. At two months I still have a good bit of swelling and discomfort. I wrap these compresses over a wine bottle in my freezer compartment so they have kind of a U shape. They fit perfectly over my knee providing cold to both sides. I do wrap it in a waffled kitchen towel, just a single layer on the side that goes against my skin, to keep it from being intolerably cold. The cold lasts a good three hours. If I start using it when I crawl in bed to read at night, it stays cold until well after I’m ready to go to sleep. My knee always feels better the next morning, with reduced swelling and less soreness. I’m quite pleased with how these cold compresses work.

These ice packs were the perfect size for me after having major surgery & requiring ice frequently to assist in pain management. I wrapped mine in a kitchen hand towel until they were safe to use without it. I am ever so grateful I had these on hand!! I bought a 4 pack so I could continue to use them as needed without waiting for them to refreeze. They fit flat into your freezer and take up very little space. I’ve discovered they help out with my occasional migraines if I place one on my forehead and one at the base of my neck. Awesome item that’s lasted for a few years now!! 2 years+ and still in perfect condition!!

I bought these for severe elbow bursitis. Initially, they need way longer than 2 hours to get cold. More like a solid 8-12 before first use. That was my first mistake. Once they get a deep freeze, they stay cold for more than 40 min. Since you’re supposed to ice for ~20 min, you can put it back in the freezer and it gets back down to temperature faster. Just make sure you let them sit in there for a long time before first use. Then you can rotate them successfully. After a deep freeze, they won’t be very soft, but it’s better than a room-temperature ice pack.

What like more than anything is the size. Small enough to cover the smaller areas of the body where the cold pack is required, yet big enough to use on larger areas well, My wife uses them on her hand and nose for her sinuses. Just the right size. The product arrived within the promised timeline.
Our only complaint is not with the supplier but with the Amazon delivery staff. We live in a basement suite and in this instance, the driver came down the stairs, knocked on our door, then went back up the stairs and dropped our delivery at the gate leading to the street. We are seniors, and the lack of respect did not go unnoticed.

All these reviews that it isn’t flexible, solid unit cold packs never are. The instructions say to leave it in the freezer for only a couple hours. I think most people (myself included) leave them in until we need it, then it doesn’t flex very well. I’m okay with that though.

I ordered these two cold compress because many times you have pain in more than one place. I was pleased with the compresses but I was under the wrong impression. I thought they were lined with material and I will not need to wrap it with a cloth when I am putting it next to my body, it’s absolutely fine if you are using it for anywhere on your legs or arms. They are great and they do help with pain. I would definitely recommend it and encourage people to always have it in the freezer, just for emergency.
