Lid is very useful to prevent spills and helps with stacking in the freezer, but a little fiddly to get on. Easy to extract the ice cubes from the tray thanks to the silicon, though does not produce a perfectly square cube as a result. Overall happy with this product for large whisky ice cubes.

I use these to blend and freeze my organic hen eggs for the winter. I start with 2 or 3 dozen eggs, blend good (before the foam starts), and then fill each about 1/2 way to equal 1 egg each.
